Baby Boy Delivered By Nassau County Police, Medics On Way To Hospital

A brand new baby boy will have a story to tell about his birth after he was delivered in the back of an ambulance with a little help from the Nassau County Police.

The baby was born on Thursday, Oct. 3, after officers were dispatched to a Massapequa home regarding a woman in labor, said the Nassau County Police.

When officers arrived at the Pennsylvania Avenue home they found a 33-year-old woman in labor and immediately placed her in an ambulance, police said.

But baby boy was ready to be delivered on the way and was delivered with the assistance of a Nassau County Police medic and officers on the way to the hospital, police said.

Once they arrived at the hospital, the mother and baby boy were admitted and listed in good condition.
